This study aims to address a research gap by exploring organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) as a mediator between professional competence and teacher performance, specifically at the Haji Masri Darul Ilmi Murni Islamic Education Foundation. It investigates the effect of professional competence and the physical work environment on the performance of elementary school teachers. The study focuses on 63 teachers at SD Plus Darul Ilmi Murni as its population. Data collection methods include questionnaire distribution and observation. The findings highlight that professional competence positively and significantly influences teacher performance. The physical work environment, while positively related, does not significantly affect teacher performance. However, professional competence and the physical work environment both have positive and significant effects on organizational citizenship behaviour. Furthermore, organizational citizenship behaviour positively and significantly impacts teacher performance. This study's findings provide novel insights by illustrating the critical role of OCB as a bridge between professional competence, the physical work environment, and teacher performance, thereby addressing existing gaps in the literature.
